Westlake Chemical Corporation, is a vertically integrated manufacturer and marketer of basic chemicals, vinyls, polymers and fabricated building products. The Company's products include some of the widely used chemicals in the world, which are fundamental to many diverse consumer and industrial markets, including flexible and rigid packaging, automotive products, coatings, residential and commercial construction as well as other durable and non-durable goods. In July 2014, the Company acquired Vinnolit Holdings GmbH and its subsidiary companies from Advent International. In July 2014, Westlake Chemical Corp acquired Vinnolit Holdings GmbH, an Ismaning-based manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

 

Confident Investor comments: At this time, I think that a Confident Investor can cautiously invest in Westlake Chemical Corporation as long as the price is correct. Most of the fundamentals of this company are good but there are some concerns.
