MetLife operates through six segments: Retail; Group, Voluntary & Worksite Benefits; Corporate Benefit Funding; and Latin America (collectively, the Americas); Asia; and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Retail segment is engaged in selling a range of annuities and other insurance products. The Group, Voluntary & Worksite Benefits segment is engaged in insurance protection products and services to individuals and corporations, as well as other institutions and their respective employees. The Corporate Benefit Funding segment provides a range of annuity and investment products for corporates.
