Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing, exploiting and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and related assets in Canada (primarily in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan) and in the United States (primarily in the states of North Dakota and Wyoming). The Company’s crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three business units: Saskatchewan, Alberta/B.C. and the United States. The Saskatchewan Business Unit’s heavy oil operations include primary and thermal production. The Alberta/B.C. Business Unit produces light and heavy gravity crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids from various fields in northern, southeast and central Alberta and northeast British Columbia. The United States Business Unit focused its activities on the light oil resource play located in Divide and Williams Counties of North Dakota.
Confident Investor comments: At this price and at this time, I do not think that a Confident Investor can confidently invest in Baytex Energy Corp (USA). It is not possible to confidently invest in a company that is not currently profitable. I am removing the company from my Watch List.
